Helen Flood

I’m Helen, the Year 4 teacher and STEM leader. I studied at the University of Liverpool where I read English Literature and History, before completing a Primary PGCE at St Mary’s University College.

I have been very fortunate to travel extensively during school holidays and my Gap Year, experiencing many diverse cultures whilst gaining valuable life experience. My love of travelling has lead me to teach in Dublin, Sydney, Dubai, as well as in London where I began my career in 2007. I have taught all primary school age groups, with the majority of my experience being in Key Stage 2.

My passion for maths teaching drove me to complete a postgraduate certificate in mathematics specialist teaching (MAST), furthering my interest and expertise in the teaching of this subject.  My child centered approach to teaching ensures all children are encouraged to be independent learners, thinkers and risk takers.

In my spare time I enjoy spending with my family, swimming, reading and travelling.
