Facilities

Ivy House

St. Anthony’s Girls is perfectly situated in Ivy House, former home of prima ballerina Anna Pavlova and once occupied by JMW Turner. Having undergone an extensive programme of refurbishment, Ivy House has excellent facilities for a ‘Gold Standard’ education including 14 spacious classrooms which retain the character and charm of the building. Our Reception classrooms lead out onto a covered terrace area to enable outdoor learning to take place whatever the weather.

Multipurpose Hall

Our multipurpose hall has all the facilities needed for dining, assemblies and sports. Complete with a ballet barre and mirror, the hall is the perfect space for dance, gymnastics and yoga and many of our extra-curricular clubs will take place here.

At lunch time, the girls will dine with staff on the nutritious meals cooked by Brookwoods caterers in our state of the art kitchen. The hall opens out onto our patio and lawn area for the girls to take fresh air following their meal.

Science Lab

Our science facilities enable practical, hands-on and challenging learning. Equipped for the older girls, the lab includes an interactive smartboard screen, electrical points and gas taps for use with Bunsen burners, microscopes and rock samples, and many other exciting resources for enhanced learning.

Computer Technology

Each class base features an interactive screen for use through by teachers and pupils throughout the school day. Pupils will have access to laptops and iPads to use as directed by the teacher, during enhanced learning activities.

Outdoor Area

The playground area to the front of the school includes climbing equipment to support physical development. The space to the rear of the school building is designed to promote learning about our natural environment. Our wildlife area houses a minibeast hotel with areas to encourage the growth of observable wildlife habitats. A vegetable patch has been planted and is maintained by the St. Anthony’s girls, the produce of which is used in our cookery classes.

Situated next to the magnificent Golders Hill Park, St. Anthony’s girls are surrounded by an expanse of green space and outdoor facilities. The park includes ponds, a stumpery, Butterfly House and even a zoo; home to a European Eagle Owl which St. Anthony’s has sponsored!
