At St Anthony’s School our girls have access to a curriculum which features a similar breadth and balance of both core and non-core subjects. Ensuring this important equilibrium helps to better equip pupils with a broad variety of skills to be a lifelong learner: a well-rounded, happy and confident child. Exploring a pupil’s natural gifts in addition to covering the core subjects such as English, mathematics and science encourages individual learning, motivating each child to continue with that learning throughout their life – a key skill.
As sister school to St Anthony’s Boys, our girls benefit from single sex education alongside the advantages that co-educational activities can offer. The schools foster close links through sharing sporting events, assemblies and reception class ‘play dates’.
Alpha Plus Group owns and operates nineteen first-class independent schools, nurseries and sixth form colleges throughout the UK. As part of the Alpha Plus Group, we deliver a ‘Gold Standard’ of education and draw on a wealth of experience from the group; building on the success of the existing prep and girls’ schools such as Wetherby and Pembridge Hall.

The beautiful Ivy House, former home of prima ballerina Anna Pavlova and once occupied by JMW Turner, has undergone significant refurbishment, transforming 12000 square feet into 14 spacious classrooms. The school houses a state of the art science lab and multi-purpose hall for dining and sport, complete with ballet barre and mirror. Pupils will have the most current classroom technology as well as specialist teachers for IT, music, sport and languages.
In keeping with the tradition of the building, West Hampstead School of dance will be offering on-site ballet lessons. The girls can also choose to join the choir and drama group (Spencer Stage School) and a variety of exciting clubs, including gardening, coding, arts and crafts and spanish.
LAMDA and private music tuition will also be offered during the school day. Further details can be found on our Extra-Curricular Activities page.
